Team's Rubric

In this partial we made two team activities, one of them was to build a piecewise function that could made an estructure out of clay, so we decided to build a Bungalow,  so that the hard working middle class could go to and have some nice vacation at the side of a beautiful beach, this Bungalow would be able to be built in a production line by making the various parts of it, by following the piecewise function indicated in the picture.

We only got one mistake and that was that we didn't graphed as we supposed to the cubic function.

Then we made another activity that consisted of a composite function, and two functions, each one of us got one paper with either one function or the composite function, then we needed to find the functions that made the composite one throughout all of the classroom, then we needed to find the correct functions, they we had to calculate a series of things out of that composite function.

I would give my a grade of 5 in the team's rubric, in every aspect, because I participated in a positive way to the team, and was able to bring my knowledge to them, and I will also give my classmates a 5, (Karla, Vanessa and Abraham in the first activity and Monzalvo and Paola in the second), because we were able to accomplish a good and effective result, everyone collaborated in it.

Initial Reflection

What I hope to acquire from this portafolio and this semester is to dominate and comprehend the usage of multiple types of graphs and their functions or relations, reason why is one of the most interesting subjects of the program and a heavy duty one, meaning that I have to study and learn in every step of the way, reason why this portafolio will help me, since I will me able to go back to this portafolio and see that the concepts and applications meant and why they function that way, that way I will be able to comprehend the following math programs.

Professor's Feedback

In this partial the professor was evaluating our interest towards the class, if we were paying attention or not, if we were chating or not, it we were doing the activities or not.

The professor in this partial evaluated my with a 4 in every aspect of the evaluation rubric, grade that I agree with a 100%, since I didn't chat nor was distracted, the only that I didn't do in some occasions were the class activities, often because I found that the time left to do the activities were so little that it would be better to end them at home, so I didn't do anything the last 10 minutes of the class, although this didn't happened every day, so that attitude is the one that I will change in the next partial since it's unacceptable, so I won't be lazy and I will do the class activities even though the class ends in 1 minute.

Module 2 Exam Revision

This exam was way easier than the previous one, since it had to do with more logical stuff in my opinion, therefore my grade was higher, although my mistakes were pretty much the same as the last one, mainly not reading instructions, for example in the 15th question, I didn't read that we had to graph the function that we got, in another one I had a calculation problem that I figure out when I did the revision of the exam, but overall I had better accomplishments in this module comparing it to Module 1.

Module 1 Exam Revision

To practice and learn from our mistakes we had to correct our modular exams, in this case in Module 1, my greatest mistakes were due to little mistakes, mainly not reading instructions and one big mistake in not studying the behaviour of the asymptotes, mainly in diagonal ones.

Module 2

For this module I decided to include one part of a class activity, one that I had trouble with, therefore the teacher explain it to me so I could understand and acquire that knowledge, in this case it was about finding the inverse of a function, so first you need to replace "x" with "y", so a "y" will be inside the function, from there you have to make the equation equal to that new "x" so that it would be posible and logical, for example f(x)=2/(3+x) then the inverse f-1(x)=(2/x)-3, that way you can know the inverse of a function and that gave me the knowledge to have a good understanding of the topic.

Module 1

With this module we learned to make some interest graphs, to practice them for the modular exam, I decided to practice in Geogebra de way they behave, so here is what I practiced:
